**RAM（Koichi Yamazaki）**は、1999年にユニット「PENTAGON」のメンバーとしてDRUM’N’BASSシーンに参戦。以降、国内外を問わず数多くの作品をリリースし、シーンに確かな足跡を残してきた。
UKの名門レーベル FRONTLINE からリリースされたシングル 「SOSPECIAL」 が爆発的なヒットを記録し、その名は世界へと広まる。
続く 「MOVE ON / Quaver」 は、BBC RADIO 1のチャートでトップ10入り を果たし、国際的な評価を不動のものとした。
その後も、ドイツの PRECISION / HARD EDGED、イギリスの NU DIRECTIONS / HOSPITAL など、数多くのレーベルから作品を発表。
幅広い音楽性から生み出される楽曲群は現在も世界中のレーベルからオファーが絶えず、高い支持を集め続けている。
また、The United Future Organisation（UFO） のco-producerとしても知られ、クラブシーン以外にも活動の場を拡大。SweepStationシリーズ『DEPTH』や、SCEJのゲームソフト『ICO』などにおいて作曲・編曲を担当したほか、コナミ（現・コナミデジタルエンタテインメント）の音楽ゲーム 『beatmania』 では、レイヴ、エレクトロニカ、ドラムンベースを中心とした数多くの楽曲を提供した。
『beatmania』離脱後は、GOKUとのDRUM’N’BASSユニット 「Cycle」、さらにGOKU・Saiko・amigoとのユニット 「cargo」 に参加。
また、『GHOST IN THE SHELL（攻殻機動隊）TRIBUTE ~CATEGORY:TECHNO STYLE Ver 2.0.0』では KOICHI YAMAZAKI 名義で楽曲を提供するなど、活動の幅は多岐にわたる。
近年では、カプコンの音楽ゲーム crossbeats REV. / CROSS×BEATS、Applibot, Inc.の セブンスコード へ楽曲提供を行い、2021年にはジュエリーブランド atur（アテュール） とコラボレーションしたコンセプト・ミニアルバムをリリース。
2014年から現在に至るまで、自身のレーベル What’suppp Entertainment（NNN RECORDS） より 11枚のアルバム を発表。現在もなお、継続的に新たな作品を生み出し続けている。
RAM (Koichi Yamazaki) entered the DRUM’N’BASS scene in 1999 as a member of the unit PENTAGON. Since then, he has released numerous works both in Japan and internationally, leaving a significant mark on the scene.
His single SOSPECIAL, released on the renowned UK label FRONTLINE, became a massive hit and brought his name to the world stage. The follow-up MOVE ON / Quaver reached the top 10 on BBC RADIO 1’s chart, cementing his international reputation.
He has continued to release music on numerous labels, including Germany’s PRECISION / HARD EDGED and the UK’s NU DIRECTIONS / HOSPITAL. His wide-ranging musical style keeps attracting offers from labels worldwide and maintains strong support.
RAM is also known as a co-producer for The United Future Organisation (UFO), expanding his work beyond the club scene. He contributed as composer and arranger to projects like the SweepStation series DEPTH and SCEJ’s game ICO, and provided numerous tracks for Konami’s music game beatmania, focusing on rave, electronica, and drum’n’bass.
After leaving beatmania, he participated in the DRUM’N’BASS unit Cycle with GOKU and the unit cargo with GOKU, Saiko, and amigo. Under the name KOICHI YAMAZAKI, he also contributed tracks to GHOST IN THE SHELL TRIBUTE ~CATEGORY:TECHNO STYLE Ver 2.0.0, showcasing his diverse activities.
In recent years, he has provided music for Capcom’s rhythm games crossbeats REV. / CROSS×BEATS and Applibot, Inc.’s Seventh Code, and in 2021 released a concept mini-album in collaboration with the jewelry brand atur.
From 2014 to the present, he has released 11 albums on his own label, What’suppp Entertainment (NNN RECORDS), and continues to produce new works consistently.
