RAM (Koichi Yamazaki)
In 1999, he joined the DRUM’N’BASS scene as a member of “PENTAGON” and has released numerous works both overseas and domestically. In particular, his single “SOSPECIAL,” released from UK FRONTLINE, became an explosive hit and made his presence known worldwide. Later, his release “MOVE ON/Quaver” from the same label impressively entered the top 10 chart of the national broadcaster BBC RADIO1. He continued to release works from various labels such as Germany’s PRECISION and HARD EDGED, UK’s NU DIRECTIONS and HOSPITAL, and his works created from a wide range of music styles still receive offers from labels worldwide and garner much support.
He is also known as a co-producer of “The United Future Organization (UFO).” Besides the club scene, he has worked on composing and arranging music for game software such as “SweepStation” series including “DEPTH” and “ICO” of SCEJ, and has provided numerous rave, electronica, and drum’n’bass tracks for “beatmania” by Konami Digital Entertainment. After leaving “beatmania,” he joined a drum’n’bass unit “Cycle” with GOKU, and participated in a unit “cargo” with GOKU, Saiko, and amigo.
His range of activities is wide, and he has provided music under the name “KOICHI YAMAZAKI” for “GHOST IN THE SHELL (攻殻機動隊) TRIBUTE ~CATEGORY:TECHNO STYLE Ver2.0.0” and has recently provided music for Capcom’s music game “crossbeats REV. & CROSS×BEATS” and Applibot, Inc.’s “SEVENTH CODE.” In 2021, he released a conceptual mini-album in collaboration with the jewelry brand “atur .”
